Great news to social media fans out there especially for you that already familiar in the Joomla world. I requested personally to Andy from TemplatePlazza to build a template++ package related to our personal social life streaming. SmashingMagazine has made a post about 15 Useful Twitter Hacks and Plug-Ins for WordPress. Very useful article. Can those hacks and plugins could be implemented too in Joomla? Mmm...could be a Lab work for the next days (or weeks?). Meanwhile Joomlasphere already provided with these 2 twitter related modules. One called Tweets module from VanEldijk Studio and the other is JP Twitter Icon from JoomlaPoetry - a new resource for free Joomla 1.5 extensions.

With Tweets module you can shows your latest messages from your twitter feed either only yours or your following twitter accounts. But if you only want to show a "Follow Me on Twitter" icon, then you can install this JP Twitter Icon which provides you 13 icon to be choosen or you can choose your own eye-catching tweet icon.
