Ninjoomla has been released their all-in-one articles or news-related module called Breaking News couple of days ago. This module tries to adopt all available content-related module functionality and two of the adopted module have been at the top rated at Joomla Extension Directory for couple of week, means joomlasphere find them useful for their Joomla-based news site.
Breaking News have three mode of functionality. You can choose it as a latest days created-sorted content item, that's why it called Breaking News. Second mode option is as an Editor's Pick artilcle module based on the Featured Article module and the 3rd mode is as an auto-detected most read, latest or top rated article per section or category blog page based on the MostReadBySectionCategory module.
Breaking News still only available for J! 1.5 version. For 1.0.15 version of thi module, I'm still working on that to use the Dual Install
methods that one of the Ninjoomla's developer created recently. Dual install feature was build to support two Joomla version in one
package extension installation. I hope this promising feature can also be adapted on Breaking News next version.
Check out Breaking News module in action here . You can download the module at Ninjoomla Extensions Club

I think you already know or even use this module. It was good module, it is. Was on top 5 rated on JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) for couple of weeks if I'm not wrong.
Today, I will give you a short tutorial on how to add a custom link that you might need to refer to another pages or articles not listed in article category of minifp. This link will sit on the bottom of the module.
