Introducing RUMI a brand new Joomla template rockstar. Why Rockstar? Because it's not just a template, it's a framework plus 'skin' or child theme or whatever we call it. And it's free!

What is template framework anyway? Joomlasphere is full of this term lately. As I'm not a gig I can't define it myself.
I'm not a developer - just a Joomla user like you but I love to play around with new stuffs.

In simple words (of mine), framework gives us options, extra and powerful features to the 'old' Joomla! 1.5 templates by
adding more flexibility and extendibility.
Basically with framework We don't need to:
- hack template code to edit logo, background, article font colors
- hack template code for better Search Engine Optimization like adding Google and/or Yahoo site verification code,
Google analytic code etc, better html tags for article titles etc.
- hack template code to change the template styles (if there are ones available)
- hack template code to support mobile browser
- what else that we need?

Rockettheme, YooThemes, TemplatePlazza, JoomlaBamboo just some of the commercial template clubs that already offers this framework
for their templates. And yes, it's commercial. How about the free one? Is there any? Lucky us yes there is. It's Rumi.

Rumi framework from Vandenito is a free stuff released under GNU GPL. Thanks to them so we can learn what actually the framework is, what make it different and
why it's so powerful. Rumi framework is intend to be used as a backbone which work under the surface for us so what remains for users is
to get some time to play around with the template only from the template parameters provided. Might be confusing at first because there are so many variables to check
but then that will saving much of our times when it finished.

Read more about this free Rumi framework on it's official site. They also give us a free great skin to start with. This MalangNews skin can be used almost for anything
not just for news portal, you can use it as your blog or portfolio or anything.

Ahh yes again forgive me about this Lab new design, it's the 5th times I change the looks. This was built using Rumi framework plus my own skin, customized from that MalangNews.
Simple and clean is what I like most.
